Bannon Eimiller
Bannon L. Eimiller, 22, of Bemus Point, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 9, 2021, after being struck by a vehicle in the town of Ellery.
The son of Kenneth and Junie (Hilburger) Eimiller, he was born on June 17, 1998, in Jamestown, New York.
In 2016, he graduated from Jamestown High School, where he was a member of the Red Raider football team and ski club. He also played Babe Ruth Baseball (where in his younger years he was honored as the recipient of the Walt Roode [a well-known Jamestown figure] Award). He also participated in local basketball and soccer leagues.
After high school, he attended Arizona State University and Fredonia State College pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication.
He was very close to his family and loved having big family dinners, celebrating holidays, and playing nickel and dime card games with all his relatives. He enjoyed spending summer days jet skiing and fishing on Chautauqua Lake. He had a huge heart and loved playing games with his little cousins when they would come to visit –taking every opportunity to engage in a good water fight or sliding down a giant water slide in the front yard with them. They loved Bannon, and he will be deeply missed.
His kindness and compassion extended beyond his family. Every year, he and his mom (who was also his best friend) volunteered as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign. Bannon also enjoyed working with younger kids: In addition to volunteering to dress up as a SuperHero at the annual Kallie’s Krusade Labor Day fundraiser in 2015, he spent the past several years tutoring and mentoring his special needs friend, Seth Murray. His patience and compassion cultivated a special connection between the two of them.
Bannon also loved animals, especially his dog Butterz, with whom he was pictured on the playing cards as part of the annual Chautauqua County Humane Society Hot Dogs, Cool Cats Pet Photo Contest in 2018.
Besides his parents, Bannon is survived by his grandparents Robert and Linda Hilburger of Lakewood; Marvin and Bonnie Eimiller of Bemus Point; aunts and uncles, Robert and Gina Hilburger; Nathan and Kara Hilburger; Kurt and Kym Eimiller and Christopher and Kristen Jenkins; nine cousins; and godparents Phil Mead and JoAnn Murray.
A private service will be held for close friends and family.
Visitation will not be observed.
Memorials may be made to Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
