Donald A. Fancher
PERRYSBURG–Don Fancher age 78 passed away March 22, 2021. He struggled with Alzheimer’s in the last years of his life but was able to die with dignity and grace at his home surrounded by his family.
Don was born Sept. 7, 1942 to Adra and Daphne (Waterman) Fancher.
A U. S. Army Veteran Donald honorably served with the Army from 1964-1970.
He married Sharon Bromley Nov. 4, 1967 at the Gowanda United Methodist Church .
Surviving besides his wife of nearly 54 years are their daughters; Christine (Peter) Duringer and Bethany (James) Herbert along with 4 loving grandchildren; Cianna and Serena Duringer, Andrew and Jenna Herbert. Don is also survived by 6 siblings ; his twin brother Doug ( Karen) Fancher, Judy (Jack) Weaver, Butch ( late Vickie) Fancher, Pat ( late Ned Colvin) Fancher, John Fancher and Bill Fancher .
Besides his parents Don was preceded in death by his oldest brother Chuck (wife Orianne survives) Fancher.
Don was a retired supervisor for National Fuel Gas of Dunkirk, NY, he loved working with wood and built 3 houses as well as many pieces of furniture . Don was very kind and always tried to lend a helping hand .
At Dons request there will be no visitation or services .
