William N. Davis
William N. Davis, 67, died, suddenly at his home on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020.
He was the son of Dr. Norman Davis and Jean Girton Davis. The youngest of three children, he was born on July 18, 1953, in Osaka, Japan where the family was living during his father’s military assignment.
He was a graduate of Hope College in Holland, Mich., and had also attended Bryant and Stratton Business College in Buffalo.
He was a medical transcriptionist with the former WCA Hospital. In previous years he had worked for TRW and Weber Knapp.
Bill possessed a lovely tenor voice and had appeared in theatrical productions for Little Theatre and Shoestring Players.
Those who knew him at his home will remember delicious meals, and at Christmas, beautifully decorated Christmas Trees.
He was expert in the art of Pysanky, the egg dying tradition.
Bill is survived by his sister, Norma Davis Murray, MD of Cochranville, Pa.; his brother, Hollis Davis of Florence, Ky; nephews: Patrick, Sean and Matthew Murray; a niece, Megan Murray; and his companion of 42 years, Marlin Casker.
Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
No visitation will be observed.
The Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg is handling arrangements.
