Michael P. Kelley

Michael P. Kelley, 70, of 3540 Fluvanna Townline Road, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, in UPMC Chautauqua.
A native of Bemus Point, he was born Oct. 24, 1949, in Bryan, Ohio, a son of the late Jerry and Geneva Crandall Kelley.
Following graduation from Maple Grove High School and Worchester Academy, he received a bachelor’s degree in recreation from Springfield College.
Prior to his retirement in 2010, he was employed by Long Point State Park as manager and earlier had worked as regional program specialist for Allegany State Park for a total of 42 years.
He was a member of the Jamestown Chapter of Kiwanis, where he was a past president.
An avid boater, he enjoyed waterskiing and diving. He was a member of Ellery Sno Cruisers.
Surviving are his wife Deborah Barton Kelley, whom he married Dec. 31, 1993; two children Alicia (Mark) Raymond of Napa, Calif., and Justin Kelley of Mammoth Lakes, Calif.; granddaughter, Nevarra Tui Raymond’ and a sister Kathy (Dennis) Raynor of Bluffton, S.C.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ryan Kelley.
A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday in Bemus Point United Methodist Church followed by a time of food and fellowship in the church gallery.
Friends will be received from 4-5 p.m. Thursday in the church.
