Marion H. Rendell Cox
Marion H. Rendell Cox, 98, of Falconer, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, Sept. 6, 2019.
She was born Feb. 20, 1921, in Gerry, a daughter of the late Robert A. and Hazel McCullough Lown. She graduated from Falconer High School in 1936 at the age of 15.
In addition to being a fulltime mother of six, Marion was employed as a dietician. She was employed at various facilities including Lakeland General, Lakeland, Fla., Barto Memorial, Barto, Fla., and Lutheran Social Services, Jamestown.
Marion was a member of the Gerry Free Methodist Church, Jamestown Community Chapel, Faith Wesleyan Church, Lakeland, Fla., was a Sunday school teacher, played piano, was a former member of Home Bureau, PTA, 4-H leader and enjoyed sewing and making complete doll outfits.
At the age of 60, she made a commitment to “learn a new skill every year.”
Marion was a roll model for family and friends as a Christian woman. she loved and believed in her God and lived it.
Wife of the late Ellis W. Rendell; mother of Shirley (Joseph) Davis Zeitler, Deanna (Dennis) Arp, Marilee (Bill Duncan) McKenzie, Linda Knighton, George (Cindy Tanner) Rendell and Joyce (John) Nickerson; grandmother of 17; great-grandmother of 29; great-great-grandmother of 14; and sister of the late William Lown.
A celebration of life will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at Jamestown Community Chapel, 35 Camp St., Jamestown.
