LaVerne L. “Vern” Johnson
LaVerne L. “Vern” Johnson, 61. of Sinclairville, formerly of Houston, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, at home.
He was born Feb. 9, 1957, in Jamestown, a son of Edward and the late Janet Engle Johnson of Gerry.
He was a 1975 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School. Vern was a self-employed automotive technician who had a strong passion for cars and music. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with family and will be remembered for his sense of humor.
Father to David Johnson of Houston, Texas, Julie Johnson of Falconer and Holly (Stephen) Shear of Raleigh, N.C.; grandfather to Evan Johnson, Samantha, Zachary and Jacob Kianos and Madilyn Eddy; brother to Norman (Cindy) Johnson of North Carolina, Jill Johnson and Marty Johnson, both of Jamestown, Ralph (Kelly) Johnson of Sinclairville and Cherie (Matthew) Visker of Randolph. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
A private service will be observed.
