Mary Margaret Sippel
Mary Margaret Sena Sippel of Wilson, N.Y., passed away on Friday, Sep. 7, 2018. Born Jan. 27, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence Sena of Dewittville.
Mary grew up in Chautauqua County. She graduated from St. Bonaventure University with a degree in elementary education and later received her master’s degree in education from Niagara University. She was a third grade teacher at Newfane Elementary for many years, retiring in 2007.
Mary is survived by her husband of 45 years, William; and three sons: Brett (Melissa) of Youngstown, N.Y.; Kevin (Kathy) of Grand Island, N.Y., and Ty (Kerry) of Austin, Texas. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Josephine and Lincoln of Youngstown; Katie and Riley of Grand Island; Cooper and Wyatt of Austin. In addition she is survived by two sisters, Jeanne (Patrick) Rice of Ashville, N.Y., and Suzanne (Lynn) Hartley of Chautauqua, N.Y., along with several nephews and a niece.
At Mary’s request there will be no prior visitation. A celebratory memorial mass will be held at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Youngstown, N.Y., on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 10 a.m.
