L. Richard "Dick" Stahlman

L. Richard “Dick” Stahlman, 84, of Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing formerly of 23 Raymond St., Jamestown, passed away Tuesday (Oct. 3, 2017) at Heritage Park.

He was born May 7, 1933, in Falconer, the son of Edward and Alphild Carlson Stahlman.

Dick was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired in 1992 as supervisor of the Waste Water Treatment Plant for the Jamestown DPW.

Dick was a member of the Jamestown Church of God.

He had a great love of flowers and took pride in landscaping his home beautifully.

Dick is survived by his wife, Shelley Derby Stahlman, whom he married Nov. 6, 1998; a daughter, Stacia (Brian) Weilert of Fort Scott, KS; a son, Dana (Alta) Stahlman of Lakewood, N.Y.; step-children: Karrie (Kevin) Olmstead of Ellery, Rick (Elizabeth) Taylor of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Dayne (Kendall) VanArsdale of Chickasha, OK; five grandchildren: Levi and Baker Weilert, Jessica Stahlman, and Michael and Alexander Golden; a great-grandson: Ryan Golden; and two sisters: Muriel Everson of TX and Trudy Johnson of Ashville.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Anastacia Stahlman, who he is reunited with at last.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. Burial will be in Allen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral Home.
