Daniel E. Schimek
CHERRY CREEK – Daniel E. Schimek, 69, a cement mason for Schimek Concrete, died Monday, May 26, 2014 at his home on South Road in Cherry Creek surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 22, 1944, in Buffalo, N.Y., the son of the late Eugene and Gloria (Lake) Schimek.
Dan was a member of the Cement Masons Local 111, Buffalo, N.Y.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn A. Morgat Schimek of Cherry Creek, N.Y., whom he married in Buffalo, on Sept. 22, 1962; two sons: James M. (Denise) Schimek of Cherry Creek, N.Y., and Christopher E. (Janet) Schimek of South Lake, Texas; two daughters: Jocelyn (Martin) Logan of Webster, N.Y., and Nicole K. Schimek of Cherry Creek, N.Y.; six grandsons: James A. Schimek of Gasport, N.Y., Michael C. Schimek of Webster, N.Y., Anthony Schimek of Cherry Creek, N.Y., John Schimek of Cherry Creek, N.Y., Ryan Schimek of South Lake, Texas, Kristopher Schimek of Cherry Creek, N.Y.; six granddaughters: Autum M. Schimek of South Dayton, N.Y., Danielle Schimek of Cherry Creek, N.Y., Jane Schimek of Cherry Creek, N.Y., Kristina Schimek of Cherry Creek, N.Y., Taylor Schimek of South Lake, Texas, and Alexis Logan of Webster, N.Y.; two great-granddaughters: Jillian Schimek of Gasport, N.Y., and Summer Comstock of South Dayton, N.Y.; a great-grandson, Maxwell Schimek of Webster, N.Y.; two sisters: Pamela Moratto of Cheektowaga, N.Y., and Bonnie Thomas of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; and a brother, Michael Cupo of Tampa, Fla.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Daniel C. Schimek; two sisters: Yvonne Marti-na and Karan Morningstar; and a brother, James Schimek.
