Jamestown firefighters are pictured at the scene of a fire on Forest Avenue on Tuesday evening. Jamestown firefighters extinguished a fire Tuesday evening at 216 Forest Ave., Jamestown. The home, which had been marked not to be occupied due to lead issues, was heavily damaged, particularly the back half of the structure where flames were seen as firefighters battled the blaze. But, the home is still structurally sound and not in imminent danger of collapse, according to Mayor Kim Ecklund. The Post-Journal will publish more on the fire as information becomes available.
