A federally-funded health center that has multiple operations in Chautauqua County has finally purchased one of its north county buildings after being there for more than a year.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales and recently looked at the transactions from Nov. 1-8.

During this time period, Brooks-TLC Hospital System, Inc. of Dunkirk sold 10988 Bennett State Road, Forestville, to Chautauqua Center, Inc. for $348,500. That is the location of The Chautauqua Center.

In a news release published in April 2023, Brooks-TLC Hospital System, Inc. announced it was ceasing operation of primary care services at its Gowanda Urgent Care and Medical Center site. As part of the collaboration, Brooks-TLC agreed to sell its Forestville location to The Chautauqua Center located at Bennett State Road.

The Chautauqua Center officially began operations at the Forestville location on June 15, 2023.

Including the sale previously mentioned, from Nov. 1-8, there were eight sales that were $250,000 or higher. The remaining top sales are as follows:

– 2 Crescent Ave., Chautauqua Institution, town of Chautauqua, sold for $682,500.

– 3782 Lakeland Ave., North Harmony sold for $505,000.

– 987 South Shore Drive, Irving, town of Hanover, sold for $350,000.

– 4054 North Oriental Ave., Ellery sold for $335,000.

– 3978 S. Harold Ave., Ellery sold for $309,000.

– Condominium Unit No. III-9, 18 W. Terrace Ave., Lakewood sold for $309,000.

– 5533 Rt. 5, Portland sold for $290,000.
