Six Charged After Eighth Street Raid

Six people face charges after a raid by the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force at 8 p.m. Tuesday at 221 E. Eighth St.

The Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team assisted. The raid came after complaints of narcotics sales and the sales of untaxed cigarettes.

Pablo Ramos, Roberto Torres Vega, and Ian Sanchez were located in Apartment 1. A search of the apartment resulted in the seizure of 6.6 grams of cocaine, $1,161.00, and a quantity of cigarettes. Ramos is charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. Torres Vega is charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Sanchez is charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Three individuals were found and caught after trying to flee from Apartment 2, but they got stuck on an enclosed porch. A search of that apartment, according to police, resulted in the seizure of a quantity of packaging materials, digital scales, cutting agents, and $887.

Omar Rosado, Zuleyka Fuentes-Cruz, Jessica Hernandez, and two children were located and detained in Apartment 3. A search of the apartment resulted in the seizure of fentanyl and packaging materials. Rosado, Fuentes-Cruz, and Hernandez were charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Fuentes-Cruz was also wanted on a bench warrant from the Lakewood-Busti Police Department.

The Garage Apartment was entered and determined to be unoccupied.

The Jamestown Police Department was assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office, Dunkirk Police Department, Chautauqua County Emergency Services Tactical Medics and Jamestown Fire Department.
