Sinclairville Woman Dies In Thursday Accident

One person has been killed in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 394 and Gerry Levant Road at 4:16 p.m. Thursday.

At approximately 3:31 p.m., New York State Police were called to the town of Ellicott for a report of a two-vehicle accident.

A preliminary investigation determined that a 2015 Nissan Sentra driven by Jacqueline C. Visker, 41, of Kennedy, was traveling east on State Route 394.

During the investigation, it was determined that a 2010 Toyota, driven by Lori L. Maloy, 66, of Warren, Pa., along with one passenger, Virginia L. Maloy, 95, of Sinclairville, was traveling north on State Route 394 when she stopped at a stop sign, then pulled into the path of Visker.

Virginia Maloy died at the scene.

Visker and Lori Maloy were transported to UPMC Chautauqua for evaluation.

The investigation is ongoing.

First responders were at the scene for several hours Thursday, with traffic diverted around the scene using Lindquist Drive and county Route 65 while the investigation into the accident continued. Kennedy volunteer firefighters assisted.
