Twelve People Charged After Friday Drug Raid
Twelve people face charges after a drug raid at 5:20 p.m. Friday at 70 Forest Ave., Jamestown.
Members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force executed a search warrant Friday with assistance from the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team.
Jarried M. Dean, 31, Christine L. Dean, 51, Kayla L. Josephson, 36, Blaine A. Haskins, 18, Timothy W. Ellis, 56, Brandon J. Reynolds, 39, Christopher I. Abram, 40, Jonathan L. Mays, 40, Todd R. Dean, 33, Robert L. Barr Jr., 52, Lilly M. Willover, 23, and a juvenile were located inside of the residence. Damon A. Senear, 18, ran from the home and was caught a short distance away.
After the property and people were secured, detectives searched the property and located 52 grams of methamphetamine, 4.9 grams of fentanyl, $106, digital scales, calibration weights, packaging materials, and mannitol. Todd Dean was found in possession of an additional .9 grams of fentanyl. All 10 were taken to the Jamestown City Jail and are charged with two counts third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia.
Two of those charged Friday played a part in Operation Meltdown. Operation Meltdown was an investigation that publicized a large-scale drug conspiracy that brought methamphetamine originating from Mexico into Jamestown for several years. There were several raids that exposed the conspiracy, with Jarried Dean and Christine L. Dean playing a minor role in the drug ring. Jarried Dean was also one of two men charged with firing a gun into a Barrett Avenue residence in 2017. Christina L. Dean was also charged in the Operation Meltdown raid in 2018. Before Operation Meltdown she had been charged in a drug raid earlier in 2018 after officers raided her Forest Avenue home and found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and cash.
Mays was charged earlier this year with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after city police officers reported seeing him pushing a dirt bike on a city street. Mays reportedly had active bench warrants and was allegedly in possession of cocaine.
Todd R. Dean was charged in June with three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia after his vehicle was pulled over on Broadhead Avenue near Prather Avenue. Officers said Dean was in possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine, crack cocaine and cutting agents.
The Jamestown Police Department was assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Ellicott Police Department, Carroll Police Department, and Jamestown Fire Department.
