On Dec. 13, the Chautauqua County Municipal Clerks Association held its monthly meeting at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel in Celoro. After the December official meeting adjourned an annual Christmas party and raffle took place. Proceeds were donated to local charities. The Association also celebrated Ellery Town Clerk Becca Haines’ retirement. Haines has more than 43 years of service. A proclamation was read and presented to Haines by Sen. George Borrello. Attendees included Association of Towns attorneys, New York State Town Clerks Association (NYSTCA) officers and members, Borrello and staff, Cattaraugus County Municipal Clerks and Chautauqua County Municipal Clerks and many retired clerks.
