Drug Busts Turn Up Cocaine, Fentanyl, Cash In Jamestown

A pair of search warrants executed on Friday morning in Jamestown has led to drug charges for four city residents.
On Sunday afternoon, Jamestown police announced its SWAT team made entries at 111 Crossman St. and 36 Van Buren St. around 6:15 a.m. In the residence at Van Buren Street, officers located Jose L. Ortiz inside. Standing just outside the door as SWAT approached was Jordan T. Austin and Annabelle Santiago. They were also taken into custody.
Detectives conducted a search and located 51 baggies of fentanyl, packaging materials, scales, and $3,405.00 in cash. As a result Ortiz and Santiago were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. They were transported to the city jail where they were held for arraignment. Austin was placed under charged with seventh-degree criminal possession as he was found in possession of a quantity of fentanyl as well. He was transported to the city jail, but released in accordance with New York State Bail Reform.
On Crossman Street at the same time, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team was also assisting the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force. Officers located Tammi M. Vaughn inside along with two other adult females and a few children. Detectives then searched the residence and located 11.2 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine, 3 grams of fentanyl, scales, packaging materials, metal knuckles, a switch blade knife, and $2,632.50 in cash.
Vaughn was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. She was transported to the city jail where she was being held pending arraignment.
