JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Patricia Pearson, 49, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after a vehicle she was riding in was pulled over at 6:53 p.m. Saturday on Forest and Hazeltine avenues. Pearson was allegedly found with 5.4 grams of methamphetamine and 1.1 grams of cocaine. She was charged and processed at the city jail before being released with an appearance ticket.
– Jose E. Roman, 38, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt at 1:26 p.m. Saturday after officers on patrol saw him walking on Washington Street knowing Roman allegedly had a valid order of protection against the person he was walking with. Roman was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Mattie L. Larson, 21, of Jamestown was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated (.18% BAC or higher), driving while intoxicated per se, uninspected motor vehicle and operating without insurance at 10″30 a.m. Friday after city police officers responded to a reported erratic driver on the city’s north side. Larson was charged, taken to the city jail to be processed and released with traffic tickets to be in Jamestown City Court later.
– Heidi L. Lauer, 27, of Jamestown, was charged with DWI, DWI per se and moving from lane unsafely at 2:16 a.m. Friday after officers pulled a vehicle over on the city’s west side for a traffic infraction. Lauer was taken to the city jail to be processed and released with traffic tickets to be in Jamestown City Court later.
– Ryan J. Freeman, 24, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and resisting arrest at 8:06 a.m. Monday after officers responded to a 911 call on the city’s south side. During their investigation, officers found Freeman allegedly hiding in a bathroom shower. Freeman allegedly had an active order of protection requiring him to stay away from the person in the home. When officers told Freeman that he was under arrest, he allegedly began to resist. After a brief struggle, officers arrested Freeman and took him to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Braden C. Hagberg, 18, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration, unregistered motorcycle. uninspected motor vehicle and failing to yield for emergency vehicle at 12:14 p.m. Monday after officers patrolling Prendergast Avenue saw a man operating a mini bike with a gas engine that wasn’t legal to be operated on a city street. Officers tried to pull the bike over but he disregarded police and rode it into his driveway and back yard, allegedly trying to hide the mini bike inside a shed to keep officers from taking it. Hagberg was charged as well as cited for vehicle and traffic tickets, processed at the city jail and released with tickets to be in court later. The mini bike was towed from the scene due to it not being legal to operate on city streets.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
– Richard E. Rasmussen, 21, of Cherry Creek was charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08 or higher, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, leaving the scene property damage accident, improper passing and following too closely at 7:56 p.m. Sunday after deputies responded to an accident on Route 83 in Ellington. Rasmussen will be in Ellington Town Court later.
– Alexander J. Peden, 34, was charged with aggravated DWI, DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to keep right, move from lane unsafely, and consumption/alcohol in motor vehicle at 6:05 p.m. Sunday after deputies pulled a vehicle over on Route 380 in Stockton for traffic violations. Peden will be in Stockton Town Court later.
– Kenneth H. Yocum was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI – BAC .18% of higher and moving from lane unsafely after deputies responded to an accident at 9 p.m. Saturday on Falconer-Frewsburg Road, Poland. Yocum will be in Poland Town Court later.
