POLICE
– Ryan P. Harvey, 38, of Ashville was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unregistered motor vehicle, failure to comply with a lawful order, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, circumventing interlock device, operating without insurance, passing red signal, three counts of failure to stop at stop sign and moved from lane unsafely at 11:54 p.m. Monday after officers pulled a vehicle over on the city’s east side. According to a police report, the motorcycle didn’t pull over when officers activated their emergency lights before eventually pulling over near Jamestown High School after a brief pursuit. Harvey was allegedly found in possession of suboxone sublingual films without a prescription. Harvey was briefly taken to the city jail before being released to be in Jamestown City Court later.
– Marcus A. Mcaffee, 35, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree assault (on a police officer), second-degree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and traffic citations at 6:15 p.m. Monday near Lakeview Avenue and Crossman Street. Officers were on patrol when they saw Mcaffee driving knowing his driver’s license was suspended in New York state. Officers pulled the vehicle over and, according to a police report, ordered Mcaffee to step out of the vehicle. Police say Mcaffee refused to get out of the car. Officers then told Mcaffee that he was under arrest, and allegedly had to force Mcaffee out of the vehicle. Once out of the vehicle, Mcaffee allegedly began to actively fight with officers, including biting one officer on the hand causing physical injury. After a brief struggle, Mcaffee was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
GERRY – Christopher M. McChesney, 54, of Gerry was charged early Tuesday morning with first-degree criminal contempt. It is alleged that McChesney violated an Order of Protection when he engaged in verbal communication and threatened another individual on Route 60 around 1:15 a.m. He was taken to the county jail for centralized arraignment.
