JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Illinois D. Jackson, 21, of Jamestown, and Makhai A. Sheehan, 20, of Jamestown were charged after a fight at 6:27 p.m. Monday on the city’s north side. According to a police report officers were flagged down while on patrol. Jackson allegedly became disorderly and shoved another person while they were holding a baby and then allegedly threatened another person during the incident. Officers responded to a second location nearby and reportedly found Jackson, who then allegedly fought with officers. After a brief struggle he was arrested and taken to the city jail. Sheehan, who was also at the scene, was allegedly interfering with officers while they were arresting Jackson. Sheehan was also charged and taken to the city jail. Jackson is charged with two counts of second-degree harassment, endangering the welfare of a child, and resisting arrest. He was held pending arraignment at the city jail. Sheehan was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration. He will be in court later.

– Justice W. McBride, 24, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration, third-degree burglary and petit larceny at 9:55 p.m. Monday after officers responded to the area of the Dollar General store on Winsor Street for the reported shoplifting. McBride allegedly shoplifted from the store before fleeing. Officers found McBride nearby before McBride allegedly led officers on a foot pursuit. After a brief struggle, McBride was charged. One officer sustained minor injuries during the incident. McBride was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Michael S. Peterson, 42, of Jamestown was charged with endangering the welfare of a child at 10:52 p.m. Monday after officers responded to a south side home for a reported past-tense domestic incident. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a man and woman. The man, identified as Peterson, allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with the woman in front of their children. Peterson was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Darryl D. Cavness, 35, of Jamestown was charged with disobeying a stop sign, DWI, first-degree felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, circumventing an ignition interlock and consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle at 3:24 a.m. Tuesday after officers on patrol on the city’s south side pulled a vehicle over after a traffic infraction. Cavness’s license was previously revoked for driving while intoxicated, and police report Cavness has been charged with DWI three times in less than three months. Cavness was taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he could be arraigned.

– Thomas N. Dulak, 45, of Jamestown was charged with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon at 3:35 p.m. Monday after a search warrant was executed at 34 Thayer St., lower apartment, by members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators with assistance from the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team.Dulak was located inside the residence along with three other individuals, where they were all detained by the SWAT team. After the residence was secured, detectives searched it and located 24.6 grams of fentanyl, 4.7 grams of methamphetamine, 3.4 grams of crack cocaine, 20 dosage units of fentanyl and several bottles of liquid methadone, scales, packaging materials, and a large amount of a cutting agent consistent with the sale of illegal drugs. Detectives also located a metal knuckle knife. Dulak was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned. The other three people were released. The Jamestown Police Department was assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
