JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Samantha L. Baird, 32, of Jamestown was charged with DWI, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, moving from lane unsafely and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle at 3:41 a.m. Sunday after officers responded to a property damage motor vehicle accident on the east side of the city. It was reported a woman had fled the scene, traveling south. Officers allegedly found the woman a short distance away from the accident. Baird was charged and taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.
– Branden Ryan, 22, of Jamestown was charged at 11:20 p.m. Sunday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia after officers pulled a vehicle over on Baker Street near Chapman Street for a traffic infraction. Ryan was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and a digital scale. Ryan was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
ELLICOTT POLICE
– Shane T. Cwanek, 38, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree grand larceny and three counts of issuing a bad check on Friday. Ellicott police responded to a bad check complaint on Jan. 6 where it is alleged Cwanek issued three personal checks knowing that there was insufficient funds to purchase a vehicle. Cwanek failed to return the victim’s vehicle and ended up selling the vehicle. The vehicle was eventually recovered by police. Cwanek was issued an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Mark R. Burch Jr., 32, of Jamestown was charged with false personation on March 31 at 8:20 a.m. after Ellicott police responded to a reported domestic dispute. When police arrived a person ran out of the back of the residence who later identified himself using a false name. After a brief investigation, the subject was identified as Burch. Burch will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Jessica L. McAdoo, 31, of Jamestown was charged with trespass and second-degree criminal contempt on April 1 after officers responded to a trespass complaint at a business in Ellicott. It’s alleged McAdoo trespassed at a local business where a person who has a complete stay away order of protection against McAdoo works. McAdoo was charged and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. She will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Shaun P. Clutter, 37, of Falconer was charged with petit larceny on April 3 after officers responded to a larceny complaint at a Falconer business. It’s alleged Clutter stole a briefcase with items inside belonging to an employee inside the store. Clutter was issued an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Town Court later and turned over to another police agency after it was discovered Clutter allegedly had outstanding arrest warrants.
– Kelli L. Seekings, 55, of Celeron was charged with second-degree harassment and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration at 7 a.m. March 26 after officers responded to a neighbor dispute. It’s alleged Seekings threatened her two neighbors. Seekings was charged and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for a centralized arraignment. Seekings will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Leighann M. Vanarsdale, 41, of Falconer was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment at 12:30 p.m. March 26 after officers responded to a past-tense domestic incident. It’s alleged Vanarsdale was threatening another person with physical harm over communication and in person. Vanarsdale was later found, charged and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for a centralized arraignment. Vanarsdale will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
