CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
– SHERMAN – Daryll Thompson Jr., 39, of Sherman was charged Wednesday with second-degree assault and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. At around 1 a.m. deputies responded to an address in the town to investigate a reported altercation between two people. It is alleged that Thompson became combative, did not cooperate in the investigation and engaged in a physical altercation with a deputy. He was taken into custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Michael R. Shafer, 22, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of aggravated criminal contempt at 12:15 a.m. Monday after officers responded to a west side address for a past-tense domestic incident. Shafer allegedly violated an order of protection against two people by repeatedly calling and making threats towards them. Officers found Shafer at a separate location and charged him without incident. Shafer was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
