JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Michael R. Shafer, 22, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of aggravated criminal contempt at 7:30 p.m. Sunday after officers responded to a south side address for a domestic dispute. Through investigation, it was found. Shafer had valid orders of protection to stay away from two people inside of the residence. Shafer was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Bruce J. Miles, 36, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt at 10:33 p.m. March 20 after officers responded to a home on the east side for a domestic dispute. Officers allegedly heard Bruce J. Miles yelling back and forth with a woman inside of the residence. Officers knew there to be a valid stay away order of protection against Miles, protecting the victim. Officers were able to speak to the woman and gain confirmation that Miles was in the residence. Officers entered the home and allegedly found Miles hiding in a bedroom. Miles also allegedly failed to comply with commands when advised of his arrest. After a brief struggle, Miles was placed into custody and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY

SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– MAYVILLE – Joseph Cohen, 47, of Jamestown and currently an incarcerated individual at the county jail, was charged March 12 with third-degree criminal mischief. It is alleged that he intentionally damaged an electronic tablet.
