CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
– POMFRET – Madison A. Wasik, 23, of Perrysburg was charged Friday at 2:20 a.m. with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, speeding and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle following a traffic stop on Route 20 in the town of Pomfret. She will answer to the charges in the Town of Pomfret Court on a later date and time.
– SHERMAN – Two Chautauqua County residents were taken into custody following a traffic stop.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, on Friday around 12:30 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on Mt Pleasant Road in the Town of Sherman for an observed traffic violation.
The driver, identified as Philip A Decker, 26, of Dunkirk, was found to have multiple felony arrest warrants through the Sheriff’s Office. He was additionally allegedly found to be in possession of a small quantity of cocaine.
Decker was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned on the felony arrest warrants, one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, and several other traffic violations.
A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Larry M Houser, 40, of Mayville was found to have several misdemeanor arrest warrants through the Sheriff’s Office. Houser was also transported to the county jail for arraignment.
JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Minerva M. Torres, 29, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault at 12:41 a.m. Friday after officers responded to the city’s west side for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, according to a police report, both parties involved were uncooperative with officers. Officers then cleared the scene but were called back minutes later after a man reported he was being assaulted again. Upon arriving to the residence again, it was discovered that Torres assaulted a man in the home, injuring his nose and mouth. Torres was charged and taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.
– Selwyn T. Goodlow, 49, of Jamestown was charged with fugitive from justice and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 11:12 p.m. Thursday after officers on patrol near West Eighth Street and Foundry Alley pulled a vehicle over for an observed vehicle and traffic violation. Officers report Goodlow was wanted out of the Miami-Dade Police Department for retail theft. Goodlow was charged and also allegedly found in possession of crack cocaine. Goodlow was taken to the city jail pending arraignment and extradition.
– Heather M. Brown, 35, of Ashville was charged with having an outstanding bench warrant, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after a police report seeing Brown get out of a running vehicle near Liberty and Falconer streets. Officers had prior knowledge that Brown had an active warrant out of Jamestown City Court. Through further investigation it was discovered that Brown had 14.9 grams of methamphetamine and 3.9 grams of fentanyl, which Officers located in Brown’s vehicle. Brown was held pending arraignment on her outstanding bench warrant.
– Danielle Kane, 43, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child at 4 p.m. March 9 after officers responded to a north side home for a request to check the well being of the home’s occupants. Upon arrival, officers say the residence was in deplorable condition and that multiple children were living in the residence in these conditions. Further investigation revealed that Danielle Kane allowed the residence to remain in the condition that it was and permitted several children to live there. Kane was charged and taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.
