CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– NORTH HARMONY – Two people were arrested when deputies attempted to take into custody a person with an outstanding warrant. According to the Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday at around 9:50 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a disturbance on Old Bridge Road. Upon investigation deputies identified Nyren L Graham, 27, of Jamestown who was known to have active bench warrants from the city of Jamestown Court. While in the process of taking Graham into custody, it is alleged that Rachel S Fisher, 25, of Ashville did physically obstruct deputies in an attempt to prevent deputies from performing their duties. Graham was transported to the Jamestown Police Department to be arraigned on the bench warrant. Fisher was issued appearance tickets for second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. She will answer to the charges in North Harmony Town Court.

– CHAUTAUQUA – On Monday at about 4:22 a.m. the Chautauqua Fire Department, along with mutual aid, responded to a residential fire on Willow Tree Point in the town. Once the fire was extinguished fire investigators responded to the scene. Following an investigation, it was determined that the fire originated due to compromised electrical heat tape on the exterior of the residence. No injuries were reported.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Wade S. Pfleuger, 44, of Jamestown was charged with resisting arrest and second-degree obstructing governmental administration and cited for littering early Monday morning after officers saw a man litter near the CVS store at 19 S Main St. According to a police report, officers tried to identify the man, who refused and then allegedly mentioned possibly pulling a knife out. The male then became combative and allegedly attempted to punch officers before physically resisting arrest. Pfleuger was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Lawrence A. Gibbons Jr., 47, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment and resisting arrest at 3:39 a.m. Monday. Officers responded to a south side home for a report of a domestic incident and found Gibbons Jr. allegedly held another person in a “bear hug” for an extended period of time, not allowing him to leave. Prior to officers responding, Gibbons allegedly barricaded himself in a bedroom closet. Officers made contact with him while he was in the closet and he refused to exit. After a period of time, Gibbons was eventually physically extracted from the closet and allegedly continued to resist arrest. Gibbons was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

ELLICOTT POLICE

– Jessica L. Mcadoo, 37, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree harassment, third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief on Feb. 14. According to a police report, officers responded to an Ellicott business where it’s alleged Mcadoo struck an employee after being denied use of the business’s phone. Mcadoo during the altercation also allegedly damaged property belonging to the business. Mcadoo was previously arrested by Ellicott police for trespassing from the same business in July 2024. Mcadoo was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Caden L Barrett, 20, of Falconer was charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a child, and petit larceny at 2:50 a.m. Saturday after officers responded to a domestic dispute. Barrett allegedly took a person’s phone and kept it and when confronted by the person, would not let the person move freely. The incident happened in the presence of a child under the age of 17 years old. Barrett was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Kathleen G Nurt, 59, of Orchard Park was charged with first-degree endangering the welfare of a physically disabled person at 11:30 p.m. Nov. 15 after Ellicott police responded to a request to check the well-being of a person. Nurt allegedly left the disabled victim alone for several hours without proper care. Nurt was charged and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
