CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

Around 6 p.m. Friday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Jamestown Police Department with a hit and run accident. Deputies checked the area of 4911 Baker St. Ext. for the suspect vehicle which was located in the ditch.

Further investigation found that Courtey M. Thomas, 25, of Ashville was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state. Thomas was taken into custody and charged with driving while intoxicated common law, failure to maintain lane. Additional charges of leaving the scene of an accident out of the city of Jamestown were also placed.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Yesania A. Butterfield, 41, of Lakewood was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se and traffic citations.

At around 2:33 a.m. Saturday, officers observed a vehicle committing traffic infractions in the area of East Fifth and Fulton streets. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle for the observed traffic infractions. Through an investigation, it was determined by officers that Butterfield was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail for processing.

— Jeffrey A. Patterson, 26, and Jasmine L. Suchy Skelly, 27, were charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

At approximately 10:16 p.m. Saturday, officers observed a vehicle in the area of Falconer and Weeks streets commit a violation. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and observed a quantity of cocaine in plain sight.

Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located an additional quantity of cocaine. The two occupants of the vehicle, Patterson and Suchy Skelly were both taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Both were released on appearance tickets.

— Jamarr A. Cunningham, 29, of Buffalo was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

At approximately 1:34 a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of East Sixth and North Main streets for observed equipment violations. During the course of the traffic stop officers determined that the operator of the vehicle, Cunningham, was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. Cunningham was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident. He was released on an appearance ticket.

— Tyler T. Manelick, 28, of Lakewood was charged with false personation.

At around 8:15 p.m. Saturday, officers conducted a traffic stop on Winsor St near Chandler St. for a moving violation. The front passenger of the vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt and provided officers with a false name. Through investigation it was discovered that the front passenger was actually Manelick who continued to provide officers with a false name after being advised of the consequences of doing so.

Manelick was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Manelick was charged with false personation and was issued a traffic citation for no seatbelt.

He was held in the City Jail pending arraignment due to failing to appear in court on previous occasions.

— Racquel A. Keller, 33, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree menacing.

At about 9:25 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a South side address for an unwanted person. Officers had previously been at the residence in the evening for the unwanted person.

After returning, officers learned that Keller pointed the blade of a kitchen knife at the victim, and walked toward her. She was placed into custody and transported to the City Jail.

— Michael J. Hackmer, 51, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

At 12:17 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a Westside address for a domestic dispute.

Officers learned Hackmer had assaulted and endangered a person under the age of 17. This occurred during the course of a domestic dispute. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he was held pending arraignment.

— Cameo L. Stockwell, 44, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest and having an unregistered motor vehicle.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Willard Street at 2:10 a.m. after two prior calls for service involving Stockwell as she was reportedly a disorderly person kicking a door at a residence. During the encounters, Stockwell was advised not to operate a motor vehicle due to being intoxicated.

A short time later, officers observed Stockwell operating a motor vehicle which resulted in a traffic stop. Stockwell attempted to run on foot after being advised she was under arrest for driving while intoxicated and then continued to resist arrest. Stockwell was transported to the City Jail where she was held pending arraignment on the above charges.

While being held in the jail, Stockwell proceeded to rip an outlet cover off of the wall and break it into pieces. She was additionally charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief for damaging property belonging to the city of Jamestown.

— Amanda M. McKendree of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

At around 11:46 p.m. Friday, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle observed committing vehicle and traffic violations in the area of North Main Street and Marvin Parkway. Through an investigation it was found that McKendree was in possession of a quantity of

methamphetamine. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail and released with an appearance ticket to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

— Samuel Buck, 23, was charged with Leandra’s Law, a felony of driving while ability impaired by drugs, and endangering the welfare of a child.

At around 12:20 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of an unresponsive male possibly overdosing in a vehicle at the intersection of Foote Avenue and Allen Street. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle which was occupied by the unresponsive driver of the vehicle, later identified as Buck and a small child in the back seat.

The vehicle was running and still in gear when officers arrived. Officers made entry into the vehicle, administered aid to the driver, and removed the child to safety. The child was turned over to a family member shortly after.

Through an investigation it was determined that Buck was operating the vehicle while under the influence of drugs. After receiving treatment at the hospital, Buck was transported to Jamestown City Jail where he awaited arraignment.

— A pair of individuals are facing drug charges after a traffic stop Friday.

At 7:05 p.m., officers were patrolling the area of Linden and Forest Avenues and observed a sedan with equipment violations. Officers then conducted a traffic stop on the sedan, and identified the occupants to be 35-year-old Lilliana Rivera-Lopez and 41-year-old Jason Nevares. Through investigation, it was found that Lopez and Nevares were in possession of a quantity of

Methamphetamine. Both subjects were taken into custody without incident, and transported to Jamestown City Jail. While in the jail, officers then located over an ounce of cocaine on Nevares. He was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Lopez was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Lopez was released with an appearance ticket while Nevares was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

— Two are facing drug and weapons charges after an incident Thursday evening.

At around 9:13 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of West Sixth and Cherry street for observed traffic infractions. Officers identified the occupants of the vehicle to be Steven Lamper, 36, and Deshawna Sparks, 35. Through an investigation it was found that both were in possession of a dagger.

Furthermore, it was found that Lamper was in possession of a small quantity of Fentanyl. Both subjects were transported to the Jamestown City

Jail without incident. Lamper was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Sparks was charged with third-degree crimnal possession of a weapon due to a previous conviction.

Lamper was released while Sparks was held in the City Jail pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
