JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Jose E. Roman, 38, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration at 3:32 p.m. Feb. 13 after officers responded to East Second Street near Winsor Street for a reported fight. Officers report seeing Roman throw items at a passerby’s vehicle before trying to flee the scene when contacted by officers. Roman was taken to the city jail and later released with an appearance ticket to be in Jamestown City Court later.

– Danielle D. Middaugh, 50, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree obstructing governmental administration at 6:37 p.m. Friday after officers responded to a north side residence for a reported physical domestic dispute in progress. Officers arrived at the scene and made contact with Danielle D. Middaugh. Through investigation it was determined that Middaugh had damaged another person’s property during the dispute and allegedly failed to comply with officers’ commands during the investigation despite multiple verbal directives. Danielle charged and taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.

– Dustin D. Smouse, 29, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief after a domestic incident at 9:32 p.m. Friday. According to a police report, officers responded to a domestic dispute in progress at an address on the south side of the city. Through investigation, it was determined that Dustin D. Smouse damaged property belonging to another person during the course of the dispute. Smouse was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Nathaniel D. Hollins, 33, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing at 1:02 a.m. Saturday at UPMC Chautauqua. According to a police report officers responded to the hospital for a report of a disorderly man with a knife. Upon arrival, officers were advised that Hollins Jr. had broken a window to a hospital room and was threatening staff with the knife. Officers made contact with Hollins and were able to disarm him before taking him into custody without incident. He was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Victor J. Andino, 27, of Jamestown was charged with endangering the welfare of a child at 3:10 a.m. Saturday after officers responded to the city’s east side for a domestic dispute. When officers arrived on scene it was found Andino was holding a child during the course of an argument and domestic dispute while swinging a knife in the other hand. Andino was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Two city residents face charges after a traffic stop at 6:44 p.m. Friday on East Eighth Street near North Main Street. According to a police report, officers were patrolling the area of E. Eighth St. when a vehicle was allegedly seen committing several traffic infractions. Officers pulled the vehicle over. Hector Carrillo-Santos, 37, of Jamestown was allegedly found in possession of fentanyl while Brenda L. Carrillo, 43, of Jamestown was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine polls. Both were taken to the city jail until they could be arraigned. Carrillo-Santos was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and vehicle and traffic infractions while Carrillo was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

– Andrew R. Holcomb, 31, of Jamestown was charged with disorderly conduct after officers responded to a fight at 1:03 a.m. Sunday at the 7-Eleven on North Main Street. County Sheriff’s deputies and state troopers also responded to the area after it was reported several men were fighting. Upon arrival, Holcomb was allegedly on top of another person repeatedly punching him in the head. Holcomb was charged and released with an appearance ticket to be in court later. The man being punched didn’t suffer any injuries, according to police.

– Zachary A. Graves, 29, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal impersonation, tampering with physical evidence and resisting arrest at 10:18 p.m. Saturday after officers tried to pull over a bicycle on East Sixth Street near Grant Street. Graves allegedly attempted to flee on the bicycle before he was apprehended a half mile away. Once he was apprehended, Graves attempted to assume the identity of another person but was promptly identified by officers. Graves was found to have an outstanding warrant from the Jamestown Police Department and was taken into custody without incident. In a search incident to arrest officers located a quantity of methamphetamine on his person prior to being transported to the Jamestown City Jail. During transport to the jail, Graves allegedly attempted to conceal a quantity of cocaine in the police vehicle. Once inside the jail, Graves attempted to conceal an additional quantity of cocaine and fentanyl inside of himself. Graves was held pending arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– CHAUTAUQUA – Cynthia L. Wasson, 50, of Fairlawn, Ohio was charged Saturday with snowmobiling while intoxicated, operating a snowmobile without a helmet, having an unregistered snowmobile, and having an uninsured snowmobile after she was stopped on a trail near West Lake Road around 8:30 p.m. She is to appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date.

– PORTLAND – Christopher Woods, 38, of Irving was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation, and no headlamps following a traffic stop around 10:20 p.m. He was later released with tickets to appear in the town of Portland court at a later date and time.

— ELLERY – Brady J. Wesp, 31, of Jamestown was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated and moving from lane unsafely after he was involved in a single motor vehicle accident around 11:30 p.m. on I-86. He will answer to the charges in the Town of Ellery Court on a later date and time.

– POMFRET – Joseph A Hernandez Bentley, 21, of Dunkirk was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, no seat belt and license plate violation Sunday at 2 a.m. following a traffic stop. He was later released with tickets to appear in the Town of Pomfret Court at a later date and time.

– HANOVER – Daniel Shagott, 52, of West Seneca, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, DWI with .08 or higher, following too closely, unsafe tire and inadequate lights after he was involved in an accident on Routes 5 & 20 around 7 p.m. He was later released with tickets to appear in the Town of Hanover Court at a later date and time.
