JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Sole A. Thomas, 22, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault at 1:49 a.m. Thursday after city police responded to the north side of Jamestown for a fight. Upon arrival officers report seeing a large crowd and an active fight. After investigation it was found that Thomas allegedly assaulted another person and injured the other person. She was taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.

– Beverly L. Campbell, 64, of Jamestown was charged with endangering the welfare of a child at 9:57 p.m. Wednesday after officers responded to a home on the north side of the city for a reported missing child. Upon investigation it was found that 3-year-old child had left the residence next to a busy street while allegedly under Campbell’s supervision. According to police Campbell made no attempt to retrieve the child and failed to contact the police for 20 minutes. In addition, officers say Campbell was allegedly intoxicated. She was charged and taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.
