JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Two city residents face charges after a traffic stop on Barrett Avenue and Harrison Street at 12:40 a.m. Thursday. George W. Edington III, 36, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon as he was previously convicted of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was additionally charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. Nicole A. Reynolds, 32, of Jamestwn was taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned due to an outstanding arrest warrant issued by Jamestown City Court. Police report officers pulled a vehicle over and allegedly saw drug paraphernalia in plain sight. A search of the vehicle was conducted and officers determined that Edington, the driver, was allegedly in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, a digital scale and metal knuckles. Edington was taken to the city jail pending arraignment.
– Cheryl L. Tane, 59, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and traffic citations at 1:40 a.m. Friday after officers pulled a vehicle over downtown for allegedly traffic violations. Tane was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and suboxone. She was charged and released to be in court later.
– Bruce J. Miles, 36, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt at 1:20 a.m. Friday after officers patrolling the city’s north side saw a man and woman walking in the street. Officers were able to identify the man as Miles, who officers knew from prior incidents had a valid stay away order of protection with the woman he was with. Miles was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Edgar Melendez Roario was charged with being a fugitive from justice at 3:50 p.m. Thursday at 868 Prendergast Ave. Officers conducted a street check on a man and identified him as Roario. Officers had knowledge that Edgar was wanted out of the state of Pennsylvania. Officers charged Roario and took him to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
