CHAUTAUQUA

COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— KENNEDY — Sheriff’s Office Patrol was dispatched to I-86, Exit 14, for a report of a motor vehicle crash around 2:35 a.m. Sunday. While on scene, deputies gave verbal commands to the operator to exit his vehicle and he did refuse. The operator was assisted out of the vehicle on scene by deputies, and in the process, he did refuse to comply.

Once in custody he was evaluated by medical staff and subsequently released. The male was identified as 46-year-old Nicholas Bohdanowycz of Olean. Bohdanowycz was transported to Chautauqua County Centralized Arraignment on the charges of DWI, moving from lane unsafely and second-degree obstructing. He will answer charges later in Poland town court.

— At around 2 a.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 5 in the town of Dunkirk. The operator of the vehicle, Jerrold J. Katrein, 37, was charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and speed not reasonable. He will answer the charges later in town court.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Oshon Goodlow, 21, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and resisting arrest.

Before midnight Saturday, officers responded to an address on the Southside of the city for a domestic incident. Further investigation discovered that Goodlow was inside of the apartment with a female victim that he has a stay away order of protection with.

Goodlow initially refused to remove himself from the apartment but after multiple commands to do so from officers, he eventually complied. When he was placed into custody, he began to resist and also kicked a patrol car, but did not cause any damage to the vehicle.

— Adrian M. Melo-Estrada, 25, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt Saturday.

At around 5:30 p.m, officers responded to an address on the westside of the City of Jamestown for a reported Order of Protection Violation in progress.

Upon arrival, officers located Melo-Estrada inside of the residence with a female victim who has a Stay Away Order of Protection against him. Melo-Estradawas taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He was held in the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

— Thomas Kimbrough Sr., 54, of Jamestown, was charged with felony DWAI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and numerous traffic tickets late Saturday. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for infractions. The vehicle failed to comply and after a short pursuit, the vehicle stopped and the operator fled into a residence on foot. The operator failed to put the car in park and it rolled into the front of the police car causing minor damage.

After a short time, the operator came out of the house and was identified as Kimbrough. He was taken into custody and transported to the City Jail where a quantity of Fentanyl was located. Kimbrough’s operating priveleges are revoked for previous DWI convictions. He was held pending arraignment.
