Dunkirk man injured in snowmobile crash

STOCKTON – An adult male is recovering following a snowmobile accident.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday around 11:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a reported snowmobile accident with personal injury in the area of Munger Road in Stockton. Investigation found that a single operator of a snowmobile was traveling north toward Munger Road in a wooded area when he lost control of his snowmobile resulting in the accident.

The operator, who was described as a 38-year-old male from Dunkirk, was then transported to UPMC Hamot with non-life threatening injuries. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Chautauqua County EMS, North Lake Fire Department, and Stockton Fire Department.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Shawn A. Beardsley, 31, of Jamestown, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 1 a.m. Friday after city police officers conducted a warrant check on the city’s south side. Officers had previously learned that Beardsley was at the residence while having an outstanding arrest warrant for third-degree robbery. Officers were able to make contact with Beardsley at his residence and he was taken into custody. In a search after the arrest, officers allegedly found Beardsley in possession of cocaine. He was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Jose E. Roman, 38, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree robbery, first-degree criminal contempt, unlawful imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree criminal mischief at 1:10 a.m. Friday after police responded to a south side home for a reported domestic incident. Roman allegedly stole a woman’s glasses and held her down in front of two young children. When officers attempted to take Roman into custody he allegedly attempted to fight with officers after grabbing a 3-year-old child. Officers were able to safely remove the child from Roman and he was charged. Roman was then put in the back of a patrol car and allegedly began to kick the window and door, damaging the vehicle. Roman was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– John Boldorff, 43, of Jamestown and Jennifer Leverenz, 37, of Jamestown, were both taken to the city jail until they could be arraigned after officers conducted a warrant check at 1:25 a.m. Thursday on the east side of Jamestown. According to a police report, Leverenz allegedly attempted to shut the door to prevent herself from being taken into custody when police arrived. Officers got into the home and Leverenzwas taken into custody. Once inside the residence officers observed that the residence was piled with various types of refuse, there was fecal matter on the floor, the kitchen was unusable due to additional piles of refuse and that the beds were unusable due to the vast quantities of refuse. Officers also observed an individual inside the residence under the age of 17. Due to the condition of the residence, Leverenz was additionally charged with endangering the welfare of a child as well as resisting arrest. Officers also found Boldorff inside the residence and charged him with endangering the welfare of a child.

– Blake R. Mcaffee, 32, of Jamestown was charged with inadequate or no stop lamps, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest at 11:27 a.m. Thursday after police pulled a vehicle over on Shaw Avenue near Elm Street for an equipment violation. Mcaffee, the operator of the vehicle, allegedly got out of the vehicle and refused to give officers his credentials. He then allegedly tried to walk away from officers and go into his residence and then allegedly refused to be placed under arrest. Mcaffee was taken to the city jail and allegedly found to be driving with a suspended drivers license. Mcaffee was later released to be in city court later.
