JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Tony J. Stebbins 37, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree menacing and second-degree harassment at 8:03 a.m. Tuesday after officers responded to a domestic disturbance on the city’s south side. Upon arrival, officers learned Stebbins had left the scene after allegedly hitting a woman in the face multiple times with a closed fist, causing her eyes to swell shut. He also assaulted a man at the residence. Stebbins was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Frank G. Hagberg, 50, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief at 10:28 p.m. Monday after police responded to the Wine Cellar on Main Street for a reported criminal mischief complaint. Upon arrival, officers were told some of the patrons had followed Hagberg around the corner to assist officers. It was discovered Hagberg had used a long metal pipe to smash out the double-paned front window of the business after being denied service. Hagberg was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
