JAMESTOWN POLICE

– William R. Tilyou, 35, of Jamestown was charged with being a fugitive from justice after police responded to people near a condemned residence at 11:30 p.m. Sunday on the city’s north side. Through investigation, it was found that Tilyou had an active warrant out of Erie County, Pa. Tilyou was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Jezreel Deleon, 19, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal contempt and resisting arrest at 2:43 a.m. Monday after city police officers investigated a 911 hang-up. Police traced the call to a hotel on the west side of Jamestown. Deleon was allegedly in the presence of a female and toddler in violation of a valid stay-away order from both the woman and the child. Police report finding Deleon hiding under a bathroom sink, and he allegedly refused to obey officers commands when told to leave. After a brief period of time, Deleon complied with officers and was charged. He was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Tyler A. Perez, 41, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 12:52 a.m. Sunday after city police officers pulled a vehicle over near Barrett and McKinley avenues for allegedly having a suspended registration. According to a police report, officers knew Perez’ driver’s license was suspended and pulled the vehicle over. During the course of the investigation officers allegedly found Perez in possession of fentanyl and buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual films, which are both controlled substances. Perez was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned because of previous failures to appear in court.

– Marcus L. Carlson, 38, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree criminal tampering and third-degree assault at 2:45 p.m. Jan. 2 after officers responded to a south side home for a report of a physical domestic dispute in progress. Officers saw a woman with visible facial injury at the residence when they arrived at the scene. Carlson allegedly hit the woman in the face, damaged property belonging to the woman and threw white paint all over the woman’s jacket, bedroom and belongings during the course of the domestic incident. Marcus was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Annika Coulter, 20, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt at 2 a.m. Jan. 1 after officers responded to a fight on the city’s west side. Coulter was allegedly found in the home where the fight took place with her child, whom she is court-ordered to stay away from. The charge is a felony after a prior conviction for violating an order of protection. Coulter will be in court later.

ELLICOTT POLICE

– Michael R. Howard, 45, of Falconer was charged with second-degree criminal contempt Jan. 2 after Ellicott police responded to a reported order of protection violation. It’s alleged Howard violated a court ordered stay away order of protection. Howard was charged and taken to the Chautauqua County jail for a centralized arraignment. Howard will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Jacob Rivera-Abbey, 24, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt Jan. 2 after officers responded to a reported order of protection violation, where it is alleged Rivera-Abbey violated a court ordered stay away order of protection and was at the other person’s residence. It was also found that Rivera-Abbey has a prior conviction of second-degree criminal contempt, making the Jan. 2 charge a felony. Rivera-Abbey was charged and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for a centralized arraignment. He will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Christopher J. Jenkins, 37, of Falconer was charged with petit larceny Jan. 2 after Ellicott police responded to a warrant check where it is alleged Jenkins had an outstanding petit larceny arrest warrant from an incident at a Falconer convenience store in November 2024. Jenkins will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

Fredonia man

facing rape charge

A Fredonia resident has been arrested for allegedly having sexual relations with a minor.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, on July 10, an investigation was conducted by the department’s Criminal Investigation Division. Investigators allege that Jonathan M. Tresler, 34, did engage in sexual intercourse with a juvenile victim.

On Monday, Tresler turned himself in to the Chautauqua County Jail for the charge of third-degree rape and will answer the charges out of the Fredonia Village Court.

BUSTI – The Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team responded Sunday to an address on Busti Sugar Grove Road for a cause and origin investigation into a fire that occurred at the residence. The fire broke out around 10 a.m. After an investigation, it was determined that the fire occurred in the attic space of the residence due to an electrical issue. The fire is being ruled accidental in nature.
