JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Lisa M. Tucker, 28, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest at 7:05 p.m. Thursday after officers responded to a west side address for a report of a suspicious situation. Officers were talking to a landlord and tenant of an apartment when officers saw Tucker exit the apartment’s bathroom. Officers asked Tucker for her name and she responded with the name of a different Jamestown resident. Officers told Tucker to stop because they knew Tucker had provided a false name. Tucker failed to comply with officer’s commands to stop and instead ran away from the home. She was caught after a brief chase. Officers discovered Tucker gave them a false name to prevent being arrested on an outstanding warrant from another police agency. She was taken to the city jail without incident.
– Two men face charges after allegedly exposing themselves to staff members of a downtown hotel. Amos W. Turner III, 68, of Alfred and Thomas E. Odell, 54, of Jamestown were charged with public lewdness at 11:09 p.m. Thursday after officers responded to a complaint of two men exposing themselves to staff. Turner III and Odell allegedly asked hotel staff to bring items up to their room, and when staff did they opened the door completely naked and one of the males was observed fondling himself. Both men allegedly asked the staff member to come inside of the room and then repeatedly called the hotel front desk asking for more assistance in their room until police arrived. Both subjects were charged and taken to the city jail until they could be arraigned.
– David G. Santiago Jr., 25, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 11:46 p.m. Thursday after officers responded to a report of an unwanted person at a west side home. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Santiago Jr., who had an active warrant through the Jamestown Police Department. David was placed into custody and a search incident to arrest was completed. Santiago Jr. was found with a loaded handgun, a quantity of fentanyl and suboxone strips. He was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Daniel J. Haney, 22, of Jamestown was charged at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 12 with second-degree obstructing governmental administration after city police officers pulled a vehicle over for a traffic infraction. Haney allegedly got out of a vehicle that wasn’t involved in the traffic stop and allegedly pushed officers for no apparent reason while yelling obscenities at the officers. Haney was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Calvert J. Ortolano, 19, of Jamestown was charged with resisting arrest after officers conducted a street check at 1:07 a.m. Thursday at a business on the north side of Jamestown. Police report that after telling Ortolano to stop he proceeded to run away. Ortolano allegedly had an active arrest warrant through the Jamestown Police Department. A foot pursuit took place and Ortolano was caught and charged. He was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
ELLICOTT POLICE
– Ginger L. Lecceardone, 58, of Randolph was charged with petit larceny on Dec. 13 after Ellicott police responded to shoplifting complaint where it is alleged that Lecceardone took items from the store on Dec. 11 and left without paying for the items. Lecceardone will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Tobin S. Hagstrom, 46, of Ellery was charged with third-degree criminal trespass on Dec. 9 after Ellicott police responded to a report of an unwanted person at the Fluvanna Library, where it is alleged Hagstrom was at the Fluvanna Library and had been previously issued a trespass notice not to be on the property. Tobin tried to enter the library from the closed-in vestibule, but was stopped by an employee. Hagstrom was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. Hagstrom will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Jennifer L. Fain, 39, of Fredonia was charged with petit larceny and third-degree burglary on Dec. 9 after Ellicott police responded to a shoplifting complaint where it is alleged Fain took items from the store without paying. It was found that Fain was previously trespassed from the store, making the charge a burglary. Fain will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Austin R Karash, 29, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree harassment on Dec. 16 after police responded to a reported domestic disturbance where it is alleged Karash made physical contact with the victim. Karash will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Derek A Eggleston, 48, of Panama, was charged with fourth-degree stalking on Dec. 4 after Ellicott police responded to the Fairmount Plaza, where it is alleged Eggleston followed and approached a woman, causing her to be fearful of physical and emotional harm. Eggleston was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for a centralized arraignment. Eggleston will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
