— Stefan C Howie, 44, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny. Friday, officers responded to a west side address for a complaint. Officers had obtained video footage of a male stealing a package off the victim’s porch. While responding to the area officers located the male from the video. A subsequent investigation by officers discovered that the male, Howie, had in fact stolen the package. He was taken into custody and is transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he was released on an appearance ticket.

— Duane R. Crawford III, 27, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, having an arrest warrant for third-degree assault and traffic violations. Around 5 p.m. Saturday, officers observed a vehicle operating northbound on Winsor Street and committing numerous traffic violations and initiated a vehicle and traffic stop.

Officers made contact with the operator, Crawford. Officers had prior knowledge that he had an outstanding arrest warrant out of the Jamestown Police Department.

He was placed under arrest for the warrant and transported to the city jail. During a search incident to arrest he was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. He was being held pending arraignment.

— Amra Y. Cuhel, 34, of Jamestown is facing charges of first-degree felony criminal contempt, second-degree harassment and having three arrest warrants. At approximately 8:15 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to an unwanted person at an address on the south side of the city.

Upon arrival officers located Cuhel sitting in her vehicle in front of the residence. Officers had prior knowledge that Cuhel had multiple warrants out of Jamestown Police Department. While on scene, Cuhel made threats to a female victim who has a full stay away order of protection against her. She was taken into custody on her multiple warrants and for violating the order of protection. She was transported to the city jail and is being held pending arraignment.
