JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Johnny P. Wynn Sr., 51, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree strangulation Monday after city police responded to an address on the city’s west side looking for Wynn Sr., who was reportedly wanted on domestic violence-related charges from an earlier incident. Wynn was found in the home and charged without incident. Officers say they found a handgun and a rifle in the home, with Wynn not allowed to possess weapons after two prior felony convictions.

– Aaron A. Johnson, 30, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 3:44 p.m. Tuesday. City police officers responded to a report of a vehicle leaving the scene of a property damage accident on the city’s west side at 2:22 p.m. and were able to find the vehicle quickly, according to a police report. Johnson was cited for traffic citations, including a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license, and the vehicle was towed. Then, at 3:44 p.m., officers responded to a complaint of a stolen vehicle from Johnson’s residence. Officers say Johnson took the wrecked vehicle without the owner’s permission for his own personal gain. Johnson was charged, and allegedly found in possession of fentanyl. Johnson was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Christian A. Horta-Romery, 26, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree strangulation at 8:04 p.m. Tuesday after officers responded to the city’s north side for a reported physical domestic incident. Officers spoke with a woman who told them that Horta-Romero had fled the scene after allegedly strangling the woman in the kitchen of the home and then again in the bedroom, causing the woman to lose consciousness. Officers found Horta-Romero a short time later near the home and charged him. Horta-Romero was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Danielle Woodworth, 40, of Jamestown was charged with endangering the welfare of a child at 4:34 p.m. Tuesday after Jamestown police were attempting to find a missing juvenile. Officers found the youth, who had been missing since Nov. 7, at Woodworth’s home, leading to the charges against Woodworth. She was taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.

WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT

– William Zachary, no age or address provided, has been charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI – blood alcohol content of .18% or higher. Police said on Nov. 23 they were at 238 E. Main St. around 9:40 p.m. when Zachary arrived at the scene, allegedly in an intoxicated state. He was charged following an investigation and will answer to the charges in Westfield Village Court at a later date.
