JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Charles H. Karr Jr., 50, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, at 8:54 p.m. Thursday after officers responded to a domestic incident on Jamestown’s east side. Police report seeing Karr Jr. inside of the home knowing he had a valid stay away order from a woman in the home. to be inside of the residence. Officers say they also knew Karr Jr. had a valid arrest warrant issued by Jamestown City Court. A recent conviction on a charge of second-degree criminal contempt upgraded charges Thursday to first-degree criminal contempt, a felony.
– Amber L. Peru, 30, of Jamestown and David C. Burkhart, 31, of Jamestown, were charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child after officers responded to a north side address to check the well being of the home’s occupants at 7:10 p.m. Officers found that three small children were allegedly living in dangerous and deplorable conditions. Peru and Burkhart were charged and taken to the city jail until they could be arraigned. The children were turned over to a family member.
– Robert H. Kennedy VI, 29, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and obstructuring governmental administration at 7:24 p.m. Thursday after officers working on a GIVE detail responded to a north side address for a reported disorderly person. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the a person. It was found Kennedy VI allegedly damaged to a motor vehicle belonging to the person. When attempting to speak with Kennedy and have him exit the vehicle, Kennedy allegedly hit an officer. Kennedy was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
