WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT
— WESTFIELD — A pair of Westfield residents have been charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after an investigation at the village Little League fields.
Around 10 p.m. Sept. 24, officers conducting a check of 25 W. Main St. observed a pair of bicycles parked outside of a building. The officer approached the door and heard voices coming from inside the location and attempted to enter. Access was denied by the individuals who were inside.
After a period of time, access was gained to the location where Joshua M. Winslow and Travis L. Lanneaux were found. Through an investigation, it was determined that Winslow and Lanneaux allegedly damaged a door and made entry into the building where they remained unlawfully until located.
Lanneaux was also found to be in possession of a white crystal like substance that was later identified as methamphetamine. Both Winslow and Lanneaux were later taken into custody and arraigned.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Victor J. Cameron, 49, of Jamestown was charged with being a fugitive from justice, resisting arrest, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and various vehicle and traffic law citations.
At around 2:04 a.m. Thursday, officers were patrolling on Lakeview Avenue. Officers observed a vehicle and traffic law infraction occur which prompted officer’s to initiate a traffic stop.
The operator of the vehicle initially failed to comply and led officers on a brief vehicle pursuit until the suspect parked the vehicle at a North Side Address. The suspect then took off on foot and led officer’s on a brief foot pursuit until he was apprehended.
The suspect, identified as Cameron, was placed into custody and found ot have active arrest warrant out of Warren County, Pa., and an active bench warrant out of the Town of Ellicott. It was also found that Cameron had a quantity of methamphetamine on him during the encounter. He was being held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court.
