JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Demian J. Seger, 47, was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, public lewdness and second-degree harassment after city police officers responded to UPMC Chautauqua at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday for a reported disorderly patient. UPMC staff members told police that Seger allegedly became irate during his discharge process, damaged a hospital bed, exposed himself to staff and then allegedly threatened staff. Seger was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Ronald J. Maund, 23, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief at 12:49 a.m. Wednesday after officers responded to a west side home for a reported domestic dispute. Maund reportedly left the area before officers arrived, but officers found the vehicle driving away and pulled it over. Maund allegedly damaged property belonging to another during the domestic incident. He was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— SALAMANCA — Two Gowanda men were remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail following a traffic stop in the early hours of Sept. 13.
Bradley E. Gabel, 38, of Gowanda; Charles M. Braswell, 39, of Gowanda; Kayla M. Mitchell, 26, of Lawtons; and Brynn Haskins, 40, of Ferguson, Ky., were taken into custody by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office after various narcotics were discovered during a traffic stop on Sept. 13, at 2:16 a.m., in the city of Salamanca.
According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, deputies discovered 33.2 grams of suspected fentanyl, 4.2 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 1.8 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 7.1 grams of amphetamine/dextroamphetamine pills, and 7.0 grams of clonazepam pills, along with $4,347 in cash and a plethora of drug paraphernalia. All four individuals were transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing, then taken to the Town of Ellicottville Court for arraignment.
Gable was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail without bail; Braswell was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail with bail set at $10,000 cash, $20,000 bond, and $40,000 partial secure bond. Mitchell and Haskins were released on their own recognizance. All four individuals are due to appear in the City of Salamanca Court at a later date.
— LITTLE VALLEY — Douglas Farnham, 43, was arrested on the night of Sept. 10 for violating an order of protection issued against him.
Farnham, a Salamanca resident, was charged with Criminal Contempt in the second degree after a traffic stop at 7:18 p.m., Sept. 10, on Route 353 in the town of Little Valley. Further investigation by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office revealed that Farnham was allegedly in violation of an order of protection.
Farnham is due to answer to the charge in the Town of Little Valley Court at a later date.
