ELLICOTT POLICE
– Rochelle C. Coone, 52, of Youngsville, Pa., was charged with petit larceny Aug. 25 at 3 p.m. Ellicott police officers responded to a shoplifting complaint where it is alleged Coone had taken items from the store and left without paying for the items. Coone was issued an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Robbie M Stearns, 29, of Frewsburg was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property on Aug. 24. Ellicott police responded to a reported shoplifting at a store in West Ellicott where it is alleged Stearns took items from the store. Stearns was searched and found to allegedly have a debit card in his possession that was reported stolen. Stearns was issued an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Tracy L. Griffin, 42, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 8 p.m. Aug. 28 after city police officers pulled a vehicle over for traffic infractions near Colfax and Morton streets. According to a police report, the driver of the vehicle, Tracy L. Griffin, had an outstanding warrant though the Jamestown City Court. Griffin was then allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine. Griffin was taken to the Jamestown City Jail until she could be arraigned.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY
SHERIFF’S OFFICE
– SILVER CREEK – James M. Hurley Jr. , 31, of Silver Creek was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon after a reported fight on Aug. 11. The case was turned over to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division. Through investigation, it was found that Hurley allegedly had a defaced loaded Rock Island Armory Model 206 .38 spl. Hurley was found Wednesday, charged and taken to the county jail for centralized arraignment.
