SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ RANDOLPH — Ashley M. Waite, 39, of Randolph, was taken into custody Oct. 2 on active arrest warrants from Conewango Town Court. Waite was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing and is scheduled to appear in town court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

DEPARTMENT

¯ Ray Luis Camano, 37, no address listed, was charged with third-degree possession of stolen property. Officers responded at 12:38 p.m. Monday for a report of an unathorized use of a motor vehicle. The vehicle, being operated by Luis Camano, was found a short time later. Luis Camano was being held for arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

GOWANDA POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Joshua R. Pettygrove, 34, of Gowanda, was charged with third-degree burglary, petit larceny, forgery and third-degree criminal mischief. Patrol responded Aug. 31 to a reported burglary at a church in the village. Officers were notified of damage to the church and that $100 and a check had been stolen. An investigation determined that Pettygrove allegedly committed the burglary. He is scheduled to appear in Collins Town Court later. He was additionally charged with third-degree burglary, petit larceny and third-degree criminal mischief after patrol responded Sept. 4 to a reported burglary at a Jamestown Street business. Officers learned of damage to the business and that an amount of money had been taken. Pettygrove was allegedly found to have been involved in the burglary.

¯ Lisa A. Kewley, 26, of Gowanda, was charged with second-degree possession of a forged instrument, petit larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Kewley was allegedly found in possession of a stolen check. She is scheduled to appear in Persia Town Court later.

¯ Daniel A. Knowles, 44, no address listed, was taken into custody at 7:50 a.m. Oct. 4 on an active warrant from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office. Knowles was turned over to deputies.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ Jena S. Blocker, 36, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, first-degree promoting prison contraband and fifth-degree conspiracy. Brent A. Robbins, 30, was charged with fifth-degree conspiracy. An investigation by the Chautauqua County Jail Intelligence Unit staff learned that Blocker and Robbins, an inmate at the jail, allegedly conspired to introduce narcotics into the jail. During a pre-visit security screening on Sept. 21, Blocker was reportedly found in possession of a quantity of fentanyl. Blocker was released at that time, pending an investigation. On Sept. 29, deputies located Blocker in the city of Jamestown. Blocker and Robbins were each arraigned on their charges.

¯ PORTlAND — Deputies responded at 1:28 p.m. Sunday to Munson Road in the town of Portland for a reported crash involving a Norfolk Southern train. An investigation found that a vehicle, being operated by 37-year-old Shannon Burgun of Brocton, failed to stop at the stop sign before crossing the train tracks. Burgun and a 12-year-old girl were transported to Westfield Memorial Hospital by ambulance for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
