JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Andrew S. Butts, 30, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, aggravated family offense, resisting arrest and two counts of obstructing governmental administration. Officers responded Wednesday to a residence on the north side of the city for a wanted person. Officers made contact with Butts, who had an active felony warrant from Jamestown City Court. He was found with a woman who also had an active bench warrant. Both reportedly fled into the residence and were found hiding in the attic. An investigation determined the female had an order of protection for Butts to stay away. Butts was transported to jail and held for arraignment.
¯ Nathan M. King, 25, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Officers responded at 3:53 p.m. Wednesday to a reported domestic dispute in progress. An investigation determined King allegedly threw rocks at the windows of a residence, causing damage. King also violated a stay away order of protection against another person. King was transported to jail and held for arraignment.
¯ Lisa M. Tibbetts, 46, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Police stopped a U-Haul vehicle for a traffic infraction at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday. Tibbetts was found to have a suspended license for failure to answer a summons in Jamestown City Court. Tibbetts was also found to be violating the rental agreement on the U-Haul as she was not an authorized operator of the vehicle. Tibbetts was held for arraignment in court.
¯ Paul M. Otto, 32, of Jamestown, was charged with fugitive from justice. Otto was seen inside 7-Eleven on North Main Street at 12:49 a.m. Wednesday. Otto was known to have an active warrant from the Ellicott Police Department. An investigation also determined he was wanted by New York State Parole and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear. Otto was transported to jail.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ PERSIA — Donald Pfaffenbach of Persia was charged Thursday with third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree harassment and physical contract. Deputies said they responded to a domestic disturbance of a male fighting with another person on Wilder Road in the town of Persia. It is alleged that Pfaffenbach struck and choked that person, and endangered the welfare of a child. He was arraigned and sent to the Cattaraugus County Jail.
¯ SALAMANCA — John Newark, 40, of Salamanca was picked up on a bench warrant issued from the Salamanca Police Department. He was taken into custody and transferred to that police department.
