JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ John D. Arnott, 39, of North Carolina, was charged with being a fugitive from justice. Patrol stopped a vehicle at 5:17 p.m. Wednesday on North Main and West 13th streets for an obscured license plate. The driver was found to have an expired temporary registration and was wanted out of South Dakota as a parole absconder. Arnott was transported to Jamestown City Jail and was held for court.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ RANDOLPH — John R. Kennedy, 38, of Jamestown, was taken into custody Tuesday on a misdemeanor bench warrant. Kennedy was arraigned in Randolph Town Court and released. He is scheduled to appear back in court later.
¯ LITTLE VALLEY — Billy J. Heilman, 37, of Panama, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Patrol stopped a vehicle at 1:38 a.m. Thursday on Route 353 in Little Valley for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Heilman was processed and is scheduled to appear in court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ NORTH HARMONY — Jason M. Green, 43, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated and parking on highway. Deputies responded at 9:10 p.m. Monday to a reported traffic hazard on Interstate 86 in the town of North Harmony. An investigation found that Green was allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He is scheduled to appear in North Harmony Town Court later.
GOWANDA POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Amanda L. Nichols, 41, of Gowanda, was charged with unlicensed operation and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Patrol stopped a vehicle at 11:50 a.m. March 21 on Perry Street. A check showed Nichols’ license was revoked in July 2022. It was suspended in October 2022 and again in March 2023. She is scheduled to appear in Collins Town Court later.
¯ Daniel A. Knowles, 43, of Gowanda, was charged with expired inspection, unlicensed operation and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Patrol stopped a vehicle at 11:50 a.m. March 18 on Seneca Street for an expired inspection. A check found that Knowles’ license was suspended in May 2021 and again in October 2021. Knowles was also found to not have a valid driver’s license. Knowles was processed and is scheduled to appeared in Collins Town Court later.
