Dunkirk man charged in

burglary

DUNKIRK — A Dunkirk man has been charged after a burglary on the 500 block of Washington Avenue around 8:40 p.m. Friday.

City police report investigating a possible burglary in progress with a suspicious person leaving the area. Upon responding patrol’s arrival, the residence appeared to have been entered.

Additional patrols responding to the area observed a subject fleeing matching the description of the suspicious person initially reported. Patrols located the subject a short distance from the burglary scene.

Through an investigation the subject identified as Dallas Morris was found to be the suspect. Morris was arraigned on charges of second-degree burglary and two counts of petit larceny. Bail was set and he was sent to the Chautauqua County Jail.
