JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ A 17-year-old male, of Toppenish, Wash., was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny. Officers responded at 5:29 a.m. Thursday to a liquor store on Allen Street for a reported burglary. The store’s front door was found shattered and officers learned that a male had fled toward Barrows Street. The male was located a short distance away in possession of two bottles of liquor from the store. The male was transported to the department’s Juvenile Bureau for processing and was being held for arraignment in Chautauqua County Family Court.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ CHERRY CREEK — A male youth, no age or address listed, was charged with trespass. Deputies responded at 7:11 a.m. Monday to Southside Avenue in Cherry Creek for a report of an individual trespassing on another person’s property. The male was located on the property when deputies arrived. The youth was issued a ticket.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Gwyn. Steger, 42, of Fredonia, was charged with petit larceny. Patrol was called at 7:54 p.m. Saturday to Walmart for a shoplifting incident. Steger was found to have selected 33 items and only paid for three of the items before leaving the store with $208.06 worth of unpaid items. Steger was processed and is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.
¯ Ronald L. Livengood, 68, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny. Livengood reportedly concealed items in a pull behind cart Saturday at a store inside the Chautauqua Mall. Livengood attempted to leave without paying for the items. When the security alarm sounded, Livengood placed a few of the items back. When he attempted to leave again and the alarm sounded he was stopped by employees and mall security. Livengood handed over three CD/DVDs that he had concealed in a reusable shopping bag. When patrol arrived, Livengood became ill and required medical attention. He was transported to UPMC Chautauqua for treatment, and is scheduled to appear in court later.
