Several members of the Zonta Club of Jamestown participated in the “We Dissent” 5K Run/Walk, a virtual race held to honor the life of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, at Lakeview Cemetery ahead of Election Day on Tuesday. Thousands have participated in the event across the country since Sept. 20 celebrate the life of the late associate justice of the United States Supreme Court and champion of women’s rights. “A portion of each participant’s registration fee went to support charities that support women,” Mary Cook, publicity committee member, told The Post-Journal, saying that the event “aligns with the Zonta Club, which is a leading global organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.” Pictured from left to right are: Bonnie DeJoy, Beth Jermain, Wendy Burns, Deb Piotrowski, Marcia Restivo, Kathy Stedman, Gale Svenson-Campbell and Suellen Carlson.
