The owner of Full Strength Coffee Company, a coffee shop in Westfield, has recently donated money to the Jamestown Police Department.

The owner, Kathy Archer, donated $200 to the department’s Domestic Violence Unit’s Project Crossroads in honor of International Women’s Day. During Monday’s meeting of the City Council’s Public Safety Committee, it was discussed that Project Crossroads would like to use the donation to purchase supplies for the unit.

Councilman Jeff Russell, R-At Large and chair of the Public Safety Committee, briefly went over a little bit about the business.

“They’re on Main Street in Westfield,” Russell said. “It looks like a historic building. And I was looking at their vision, which says ‘each member of our family worked to create the vision of our coffee shop and played a role in its renovation. Our hope is for it to be an inclusive place for all whether you like to come in, relax, read a book over a cup of coffee, chat with a friend, meet for lunch, or do work at our beautiful black walnut window bar complete with USB ports and outlets’.”

Russell said he felt that Full Strength Coffee Company seemed like a great place, adding that the money is going towards a great cause in the Domestic Violence Unit.

“It’s nice because they could’ve chosen anywhere, but they chose us,” Russell said.

Committee members approved accepting the donation, extending their gratitude to Archer and everyone else involved with Full Strength Coffee Company.

Starting at $2.99/week.
