There are various increases for both village and non-village water customers for additional water usage.

For village customers, the additional current rate of $5.50 for 2,001-5,000 gallons of water used monthly would jump annually to $7.50 in 2025, and continue to increase up to $8.77 by 2029.

Those who use an additional 5,001-10,000 gallons monthly could see their rates going from $9.50 June 1, to $11.12 by June 1, 2029.

Those who use more than 10,000 gallons of water monthly could see their rates going from $11.50 June 1, to $13.46 by June 1, 2029.

A letter from the Mayville Water Department says the increase is due to infrastructure upgrades, rising operational costs and regulatory compliance.
