Two Jamestown men have been jailed after allegedly stealing from the Warren and Corry Walmart stores.

Andrew J. Dzierzanowski, 41, of Jamestown faces charges of third-degree felony retail theft – taking merchandise, third-degree felony conspiracy – retail theft – taking merchandise; third-degree receiving stolen property and defiant trespass related to a March 15 incident as well as charges of retail theft – taking merchandise and flight to avoid apprehension relating to a November 2024 incident. He was jailed Sunday on $25,000 bail for the November incident and $100,000 for the March 15 incident.

Clevon L. Wofford, 47, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree felony conspiracy – retail theft – taking merchandise and third-degree felony receiving stolen property on Saturday. Bail was set at $100,000 by Magisterial District Judge Laura Bauer. Wofford was taken to the Warren County Jail.

According to an affidavit of probable cause filed with the court, an officer was contacted Saturday by Walmart loss prevention worker about a retail theft that had taken place at the Warren Walmart. Store employees tried to stop a man with a cart full of items without paying. Walmart was able to recover the cart and its items, but the man ran into the parking lot, continuing toward a white Subaru Ascent parked near the back of the lot before then going toward the Burger King in the plaza.

“I was able to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle near Taco Bell where I detained Clevon Wofford, the driver,” the officer wrote in the affidavit. “Loss Prevention provided a description of the male still on foot, which I was able to request the city of Warren Police assist in locating the male.”

Dzierzanowski was found in a booth in the Applebee’s restaurant in the plaza and identified by store employees. It’s alleged Dzierzanowski took 61 items valued at $1,689.36.

“It was discovered that these two individuals also just committed the same offense of retail theft of the similar amount of items for an estimated amount of more than $2,000 at the Corry Walmart located in Erie County, Pennsylvania,” the affidavit states. “This occurred just prior to coming to the Warren Walmart. These items are still within the vehicle and pending recovery after a search warrant on the vehicle. The defendant and his co-defendant conspired together in commission of the retail theft.”

Online court documents don’t yet show charges filed in Erie County courts regarding the alleged Corry theft.

The second docket details a Nov. 15, 2024, incident in Warren involving Dzierzanowski. According to the affidavit of probable cause, a Conewango Township police officer was patrolling the Warren Walmart parking lot and saw a man pushing a cart full of unbagged items through the back of the parking lot. The officer contacted the store’s loss prevention employees, who said the man didn’t pay for $823.83 worth of items and pushed a cart out of the tire center doors into the parking lot.

“I attempted to go toward the male who had made his way to in front of the Dollar Tree,” the officer wrote in the second Affidavit of Probable Cause. “I made my way through the parking lot, the male abandoned the cart and ran off into the woods behind the Dollar Tree. The male was not located that night.”

Dzierzanowski was allegedly seen on surveillance and screenshot photos in the November incident.
