The Lucille Ball Little Theatre of Jamestown and The Robert H. Jackson Center are partnering for a special performance of 12 Angry Men for Jamestown High School students.
The one-time event follows a run of the production earlier this year at the Little Theatre and aims to provide students with a theatrical and educational experience centered on themes of justice, civic responsibility and critical thinking.
“Twelve Angry Men is a timeless and powerful play that challenges audiences to engage with the complexities of the justice system and the importance of standing up for one’s beliefs,” said Holly Weston, Lucille Ball Little Theatre of Jamestown board president. “We are thrilled to bring this production to Jamestown High School students and to collaborate with The Jackson Center to enhance their educational experience.”
The special performance will take place at The Robert H. Jackson Center on Thursday.
“We believe that theater is a powerful tool for education. By connecting 12 Angry Men with principles that Justice Jackson championed, we hope to inspire students to think critically about the role of the legal system, as well as their own, in our society,” McMahon added.
