Three Charged After Repeated Nuisance Complaints

Three city residents face charges after city police responded to a nuisance complaint on the city’s north side early Wednesday morning.

Margaret Connolly, 47, Joseph Connolly, 20, and Illinois Jackson, 21, all face charges from separate incidents at the same address. According to a police report, the first call came at 12:33 a.m. when police responded to a noise complaint. Margaret and Joseph Connolly were each cited for violating the city’s noise ordinance and given appearance tickets to be in Jamestown Court later.

Police officers came back to the same address at 2:13 a.m. for a reported disorderly person. Connolly was taken to the city jail after allegedly threatening a man in the home. Officers then responded to the address again at 3:12 a.m. after Jackson allegedly violated an order of protection to stay away from a woman at the address. Police responded a final time at 3:35 a.m., when officers responded to a report of a woman screaming for help. Joseph Connolly allegedly pushed a woman, causing minor injuries to her face. Joseph Connolly was also arrested and taken to the city jail.

Margaret Connolly was charged with unnecessary noise and second-degree harassment. Joseph Connolly was charged with unnecessary noise and third-degree assault. Jackson was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. All three were taken to the city jail until they could be arraigned.
